Three different teams were in action all over Latvia
It was a busy weekend of futsal for Riga United's men and women as three teams took to the road to play games all over the country. The weekend started well with Riga United men winning 3-1 against Kekava Novads. The goals came from Fabio, Arakelyans and Marini.
On Sunday, Riga United Ladies '2' made their 2016 national futsal league debut under the stewardship of John Whitmore away in Malta. And the defensively-minded team made a real battle of it drawing 1-1 with Ludzus/Rezekne before losing narrowly 0-1 to Riga Football School '1'. Arnita Toka scored on her debut.
Also, on Sunday, Riga United Ladies 3rd team played their first ever competitive matches, starting with a stunning 2-2 draw against Riga Football School '3' and then suffering from tired legs in a 0-6 reverse to a decent Talsi side. Karmena Pozniaka scored on her Riga United debut. More Photos on our Facebook page.
